Breaking the silence (“Brisons le silence!”)
Break the silence! is a project aiming to raise awareness of domestic violence. Through 7 animated videos created by Swiss artists, the project exposes forms of violence that are often invisible, and encourages people to listen to and support victims.
Directed by DécadréE and produced by Nous Prod, the project is based on testimonies gathered from people of different ages, genders and backgrounds, illustrating various types of domestic violence (sexual, physical, psychological, economic). In addition to the videos, awareness-raising training has been organised for the team, and educational resources are planned to accompany the discussions.
The project benefits from financial support from the KidsToo foundation, which has enabled the production of subtitled versions in German. Additional support in 2023 enabled the creation of an audio version in German.
